Investigations and Enforcement Assistant  



High Holborn, London 



£28,000 - £31,000 - Band 6



 



Majority home working (minimum 4 days per month in the office) Happy to talk flexible working



 



12-Month Fixed Term Contract



We are looking for an organised and proactive Investigation and Enforcement Assistant to join the Investigation and Enforcement team on a 12-month fixed term contract. The team is responsible for investigating allegations against barristers and taking disciplinary or other action on behalf of the BSB. In this fast-paced role, you’ll handle a variety of tasks to support the casework of our Investigations and Enforcement team, including: 





  • Organising hearing dates and preparing Tribunal Hearing bundles 




  • Liaising with witnesses and handling correspondence 




  • Drafting letters 




  • Maintaining manual and electronic records, updating databases 




  • Responding to enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders by phone, email and letter.  





 



Key skills and experience required to undertake the role include: 





  • Demonstrable administrative experience skills with high attention to detail 




  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and general IT systems 




  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and adapt messages for a range of audiences, including at a senior level.  




  • Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and deliver accurate, consistent work 




  • Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure 





Knowledge of the legal profession or experience in regulatory or legal process would be desirable.
