The School of Vocational and Technical Studies (VTS) at South Thames College are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Construction lecturer with experience in more than one trade to deliver outstanding quality teaching, learning, assessment and tutorial support to students so as to maximise achievement and continuous improvement. This post plays a key role in supporting the development of the curriculum with employer engagement and learner skills development.



We’d like you to hold a relevant qualification in Construction or a related field and hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards). With recent UK teaching experience in Construction in an FE College, you’ll have experience working in Construction (in more than one trade).



You’ll have strong evidence of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment with a successful record of tutoring and supporting learners and of setting and implementing target setting, monitoring and reviewing progress. Able to use initiative, organise and prioritise, you’ll be an effective verbal and written communicator in both group and interpersonal situations with advanced level of computer literacy and general office software management skills.



The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.

£37,912 - £45,660 per annum, plus up to 53 days + Bank Holidays
