Residential Real Estate Surveyor 



Up to £43,264 per annum 



Hybrid, with travel across our West region (The Midlands)

As a Residential Real Estate Surveyor at Longhurst Group, you will be undertaking surveys on our housing stock to complete stock condition reports, and subsequently reporting on performance, quality and safety. Always ensuring that our customers have confidence in the process of identifying risk and investment opportunities in their homes, you will also provide the business with the required data to efficiently.  



 



Further key responsibilities are listed below: 



 





  • Accurately & efficiently collect data which enables Longhurst Group to meet our regulatory and legislative asset requirements. This includes condition, performance, safety and energy data. 




  • Identify and report building defects (including regulatory and legislative concerns). Liaising with internal and external teams to ensure issues are resolved. 




  • Completing Decent Homes / HHSRS (Housing Health & Safety Rating System) as part of your surveys. 




  • Continuously improve the quality of our data. 




  • Schedule and plan your diary to ensure best use of time and optimise productivity. 




  • Deliver an effective, customer focused service reflecting the highest service standards, including ensuring all enquiries are dealt with in a professional and timely way. 





 



In order to be successful in application for our Residential Real Estate Surveyor role, you will have a knowledge of building regulations and practices, with a previous background inspecting homes and being able to assess the lifespan and quality, and/or building control. Having a good core of IT skills is also a must. 



 



Our Residential Real Estate Surveyor role operates in a hybrid capacity, contracted to 36.25 hours per week. To us, this means spending time with our customers across our West region, predominantly in Birmingham and Walsall, with some travel across other parts of the West Midlands and East Midlands as required with some time working from home (subject to business needs - we are open to discussion around how this is built into working weeks). A large portion of our Asset & Property Services team also work in a hybrid nature, meeting in the Peterborough office on a fortnightly basis for collaboration.

This role currently attracts a non-contractual car allowance according to our Driving at Work Policy. This is currently set at £2,600 per annum, however eligibility for the allowance and the rate of the allowance is reviewed annually and any changes will be notified to you.
