Technical Compliance Manager



Didsbury, Manchester



Up to £62,275



Permanent, Full Time



35 hours per week



The Technical Manager will support full compliance in customer safety and servicing activity, alongside being the technical lead across the Asset Management function. You’ll bring technical expertise in identifying, scoping, and procuring compliance contracts and works—such as M&E component replacements. You’ll be qualified to a specialist level, with at least one recognised qualification in M&E and compliance contract delivery.



What you’ll be doing



· Support the Head of Customer Safety in coordinating compliance works and activity—ensuring legal compliance while interpreting and applying British Standards.



· Assist with customer safety compliance projects across the full GPHG property portfolio.



· Inspect properties to identify issues, propose technical solutions, and make recommendations.



· Prepare schedules of work and specifications, and lead on the procurement of remedial fire works projects.



· Provide technical advice and guidance to colleagues and contractors to ensure alignment with legislation, statutory requirements, and internal policies.



· Manage contractors and compliance programmes to meet targets for quality, cost, and timescales.



· Offer expert technical input and oversee the compliance of all safety maintenance services across the portfolio.



· Carry out audits and onsite inspections, producing clear reports as required.



· Undertake post-inspections and ensure robust, accessible record-keeping of all works and communications.



· Take an active role in reviewing, developing, and implementing policies and procedures—leading on relevant projects.



· Support budget control and contribute to achieving value for money and service efficiency.



· Set the framework for contract management, including compliance assurance via reporting, toolbox talks, site visits, Service Improvement Groups, and leadership processes.



What you’ll need



· A compliance-related qualification



· Membership of ASCP or an equivalent professional body (desirable, not essential)



· Technical knowledge of M&E and component replacement programmes



· Excellent knowledge of compliance legislation



· Proven experience in contract management and delivery



· Experience setting and managing budgets
