Location Based at Longhurst Lodge in Skegness



Join Amplius as a Scheme Assistant at Longhurst Lodge, Skegness, and play a key role in supporting our older person’s housing schemes. You’ll be the friendly, visible face for residents, helping with enquiries, monitoring services, and ensuring homes are safe and well‑managed. Build positive relationships, support wellbeing, and make a real difference in our communities every day. 



Salary: £23,751 



Contract: Permanent, Full Time 



Your week: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.45am – 5pm 



Location: Based at Longhurst Lodge in Skegness 



Snapshot of your role 




  • Act as a visible, approachable landlord figure, building positive relationships with residents and local agencies. 




  • Carry out regular inspections of schemes, reporting maintenance, management, and health & safety issues. 




  • Conduct welfare checks, identify safeguarding concerns, and signpost or refer to support agencies. 




  • Perform compliance testing, including fire/smoke alarms, Lifeline equipment, and utility meter readings. 




  • Support tenancy and estate management, including anti-social behaviour, property viewings, and access facilitation. 




  • Assist new residents to settle in and raise safeguarding alerts when needed. 




  • Promote health and safety, maintain confidentiality, and ensure schemes are compliant and well-managed. 



What we’re looking for 




  • A full UK driving licence and enhanced DBS clearance are essential requirements for this role. 




  • Good standard of education with strong literacy, numeracy, and clear written and verbal communication skills. 




  • Experience engaging with customers, responding to feedback, and shaping services to meet their needs. 




  • Understanding of health and safety requirements and the housing, care, and support needs of older people. 




  • Excellent customer care, professional attitude, and a friendly, approachable manner with a positive “can do” outlook. 




  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, and confidently operate digital devices, ICT systems, and applications. 




  • Highly organised, flexible, proactive, and a team player able to build positive relationships across operational boundaries.
